Concept Vacuum have developed a range of demountable viewports, enabling our customers to change the O-ring sealed optics without having to replace the complete vacuum window. This is particularly useful if optic damage is expected, for example in high power laser applications. Constructed from stainless steel 304L (1.4306) with an aluminium alloy retainer, our viewports can be installed on standard vacuum ports (KF, ConFlat®, ISO) - no special adaptors or fittings are required.
Optic materials available are borosilicate glass, UV grade fused silica, sapphire, zinc selenide (ZnSe), magnesium fluoride (MgF2), barium fluoride (BaF2) and calcium fluoride (CaF2). If you would like to use another material, we may still be able to help you, so get in touch for a speedy quotation.
These demountable viewports are suitable for mounting on high vacuum chambers . They are supplied cleaned to UHV standards and helium leak tested.
Instructions are supplied to inform you how to maintain your viewports and change the optics.
We can offer standard glass sealed, bonded and brazed viewports (KF, ISO and CF) via our partner ultrahighvacuum.com - get in touch today for a price or friendly advice on your application.
ISO63 Clamp Style Flange with Fused Silica Viewport
Glass-to-metal sealed windows, vacuum brazed fused silica viewports and high temperature sapphire viewports suitable for UHV environments (CF flanges). Also available for high vacuum systems on KF or ISO flanges. Customisable where needed with cooling and lighting options.
Concept Vacuum supply viewports for high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum systems. We can can also supply them with thin film coatings - layers of material are deposited on a substrate to alter the optical properties. These coatings are used in a wide variety of applications, including:
Types of Optical Thin Film Coatings
There are two main types of optical thin film coatings: metal coatings and dielectric coatings.
Advantages of Optical Thin Film Coatings
Optical thin film coatings offer a number of advantages, including:
