Leak Rates

Leak Rates

Table 2 gives the conversion between various commonly used leak rate (or throughput) units that are used to define how 'leak tight' an assembly or a part is. To check hardware is suitable for use, helium leak detectors are used. Helium is applied to the vacuum seals and/or joints, and the detector displays a leak rate which can be checked against the specification for that assembly or part.

All Concept Vacuum parts and assemblies are helium leak tested to check their suitability for vacuum applications.
